Our Wish List is full of items we need to keep the shelter pets happy and healthy. If you would like to donate any of these items, please drop them off at the shelter in Leander or use our Amazon Wish List link to order items to be delivered to us. We keep the list updated and use the FAQ to highlight any specific item(s) that we currently need most. Please let us know if you need a donation receipt. Thank you for helping us save lives and for your generosity!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What do you need most right now?

A: With several kittens at the shelter, we need Canned Kitten Food. We continue to also need canned dog food. Check out our Amazon Wish List for suggestions.

Q: Do you need pet food donations?

A: While we are very fortunate and thankful to receive a large amount of high quality food through Tomlinson’s annual pet food drive for the majority of our animals, we can always use canned wet dog/cat food and a variety of dog treats.

Q: Will you take used pet items?

A: Yes! We will happily accept gently used pet supplies you no longer need. Before you deliver large items (e.g., tall cat towers, large crates or dog houses), please contact us to ensure we have space for your donation.  info@centraltexasSPCA.org

Q: Do you need linens?

A: We are well stocked right now on linens. However, our friends at Texas Humane Heroes, Georgetown Animal Shelter, and/or the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter may need linens. Another option is to drop them off at an ATRS bin where they can be repurposed/recycled and kept out of landfills.

The items below are used daily to maintain health and sanitation, so we are always in need of more!

  • Paper Towels

  • Trash Bags: 13 gallon kitchen or large black Hefty bags

  • Liquid Bleach (low/no-splash preferred)

  • Liquid Laundry Detergent

  • Liquid hand soap

Other items used throughout the shelter are:

Dog Needs

  • Soft, meat or jerky-style dog treats

  • Nose work puzzles

  • “Tough” rubber dog toys (such as Kong, West Paw, BarkBox)

  • Nylabone chew toys

  • Bully sticks (no rawhide)

  • Gift cards to Amazon, Tomlinson’s, PetsMart or Petco

  • NO stuffed animals or stuffed toys, please!

Cat Needs

  • Comfort Zone/Feliway Multi-cat Diffuser Refills

  • Cat roller ball and other interactive toys

  • Cardboard cat scratching boards/boxes

  • Cat mats and soft beds

  • Clay, non-clumping, unscented cat litter (like Sanisorb)

  • Gift cards to Amazon, Tomlinson’s, PetsMart or Petco

 Office and Grounds

  • Copier Paper (8.5 x 11″ white)

  • Postage Stamps

  • 2-Pocket folders

  • 100′ Heavy-Duty Water Hoses
