Join us for our 24th annual Barktoberfest!
As usual, this family-fun event will feature a fun one-mile walk, costume contests for both dogs and kids, silent auction, and more! Even better, this year we’re doubling the fun by adding a chip-timed 5K run to our usual Barktoberfest festivities (separate date and location). Check out details and register below!

Barktoberfest 5K: Fast and Furriest
Join us for our Fast and Furriest 5K Run to support our shelter! This will be a chip-timed event.
What: A chip-timed 5k run
Where: Brushy Creek Lake Park in Cedar Park
When: 8:30am Saturday October 24th, 2026
Note that 5K = 3.1 miles.
Register by 10pm on September 17th to be guaranteed a race shirt! After September 17th, race shirts are first-come, first-served.
