Microchip Mondays PDF Print
It happens... that commando squirrel your dog has been chasing has finally lured your precious pooch out of the yard. How will he get home? Without a microchip, your four-legged family member has less of a chance of getting back to safety. Collars fall off, tags get worn out, but microchipping is forever and can't be lost!

Introducing Microchip Mondays at the CTSPCA!!
This summer, the Central Texas SPCA is hosting Microchip Mondays to help give your pets the best possible chance of finding their way home!

You can have your pet microchipped and registered with a 24Pet Watch Microchip for just $15!

Clinics are held on the first Mondays of the month all summer long. Dogs and cats are welcome. All pets should have proof of current rabies vaccination. Dogs must be on leash and cats must be in a carrier to help minimize chaos.

Don't put off getting your pet this potentially life-saving form of ID!

Microchip Mondays Summer Schedule:
Monday June 2nd, 6-7 pm
Monday July 7th, 6-7 pm
Monday August 4th, 6-7 pm
If you cannot make it to a Monday clinic, call the CTSPCA for an appointment for your pet to come in on a space-available basis to get microchipped.

Give your pet the best chance to get home safely!

Humane Education Pilot Program PDF Print

We are excited to announce that the Central Texas SPCA is piloting a Humane Education Program with youth volunteers from the Student Council of Old Towne Elementary School. The program is being led by Leslie Scantlin, a teacher at Old Towne, and by Laura Cairns, a member of the Board of Directors at the Central Texas SPCA.

We are meeting at the beautiful Leander Library, which is right next door to the shelter. In each meeting, the volunteers read a story providing humane education, and give opinions about whether the stories would be appropriate for future groups of participants in our Humane Education Program.
