During the first day of our Summer group at Rodriguez Elementary School, the students had the opportunity to meet and spend time with Bandit, a pomeranian/dachshund mix. The group learned about our shelter and reviewed our website to see and learn about our current shelter residents. We read the book "Before You Were Mine" and discussed just how dogs and cats end up at our shelter. During our next group day, the students will have a chance to write a recommendation for Bandit on MS Word, and will make a list of pet expenses on MS Excel.
